Founders: Gail Gordon, Chief Executive Officer, Founder Gail Gordon founded harbor beauty bar in October, 2005. She has over 23 years of retail experience at Federated Department Stores, and over 17 years of experience dealing directly with the cosmetics segment of the market. Her consulting company, gg Global Consulting, which she began in July 2005, lends her retail industry expertise and in-depth knowledge to clients in the cosmetics industry and on Wall Street. Clients who draw on Gail’s gifted understanding of the retail environment include: The Carlyle Group, Morgan Stanley Investment Management, J.P. Morgan Asset Management, Deutsche Bank Investment Banking and Citadel Investment Group. From 1996 until 2005, Gail was divisional Vice President at Macy’s East where she rose from Vice President of Fragrances to Vice President of Cosmetics in 2000 responsible for a $400 million division with 82 stores and a significant turnaround on the main floor of Macy’s at Herald Square. She began her career in cosmetics in 1988 at Bloomingdale’s after she successfully built and launched the women’s special size division. Gail received her B.A. from Simmons College in Boston.
